A special thank‑you to these officers who make community-building in the NY‑Metro area possible. ___________________________ Chair: Mariela Velez Mariela Velez is a Senior Colorist at In Mocean, managing color development and approval for both print and fabric across multiple apparel categories. Mariela is responsible for maintaining color accuracy and consistency from concept through production, ensuring creative intent is translated into scalable, production-ready execution. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and have over a decade of hands-on experience working at the intersection of design, materials, and production. Known for her detail-driven approach, Mariela is deeply focused on color integrity, process clarity, and cross-functional collaboration. She is passionate about advancing best practices in color management and contributing to the professional textile community through knowledge sharing and industry engagement. Mariela has resided studied in NYC her whole life. __________________________ Vice Chair: Allison Clymer Allison Clymer is currently the Sustainability & Compliance Manager at InMocean Group LLC where she handles all things related to environmental and corporate governance. Prior to InMocean, Allison worked at large brands on the production development side at Coach and Madewell, giving her a wide breadth of understanding in the textile and fashion world. She currently resides in New York City and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, studying at Oklahoma State University where she completed her degree in Apparel Merchandising and Sustainable Design. While in college, Allison served as Vice President and eventually President of our campus AATCC chapter where she garnered passion for the organization and the community it creates. ___________________________ The NY-Metro Section is seeking more members to get involved in growing the Section activities.
