AATCC (The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists) is pleased to open registration for its 2027 Proficiency Testing Program (PTP), providing textile laboratories worldwide with an opportunity to benchmark performance, support accreditation requirements, and demonstrate confidence in testing results.
Designed for laboratories of all sizes, the AATCC PTP provides an independent means of assessing testing performance while fostering consistency and comparability across the global textile industry.
What is the AATCC Proficiency Testing Program?
The AATCC Proficiency Testing Program enables laboratories to benchmark their performance against peer laboratories using standardized materials and established test methods.
Each participating laboratory receives:
- Standardized test specimens and detailed instructions
- Approximately one month to complete testing and submit results
- Confidential performance reports comparing results to peer laboratories
- A Certificate of Participation documenting involvement in the program
Participation can support quality assurance initiatives, laboratory accreditation efforts, staff training, and continuous improvement programs.
2027 Program Schedule
AATCC offers each PTP (Proficiency Testing Program) once per calendar year. Registration and payment must be completed by the 15th of the month preceding sample distribution.
Important: Registrations received after the deadline cannot be accommodated, so early enrollment is encouraged.
