Planning to Celebrate a Century!
As AATCC prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2021, the Technical Center is getting a little extra attention. Walls got a fresh coat of paint and new carpet was recently installed throughout the building. The carpet was generously donated by corporate member Mohawk Industries.
Staff have sorted and organized thousands of files, photos, and other treasures found throughout the building.
Besides creating a better system for storage and retrieval, the plan is to create displays highlighting AATCC history and activities.
Hopefully, by next year, you will be able to travel to the AATCC Technical Center to see the displays. If not, there will be plenty of ways to join in on the celebration virtually.
Preparations are even underway to open the time capsule! Watch for announcements about the official opening as well as plans to create a new capsule for future generations to open.
