Introducing AATCC’s Latest Book—Color: From Concept to Consumer

AATCC has just published a new book on color and coloration for all fashion, textile, and apparel students and professionals.  Martin Bide, professor emeritus at the University of Rhode Island (URI), has written “Color: From Concept to Consumer—How Hard Can It Be to Dye the Right Color?” At URI, Bide taught courses in textile science, color science, and dyeing for students in the Department of Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design.  His research also included biomedical materials, textile history, and sustainability. He is the author of more than 100 papers, book chapters, and patents. Bide is a past President of AATCC and a recipient of the Association’s Chapin and Olney awards. He is also a Fellow of the UK’s Society of Dyers and Colourists.
