AATCC Supports Research Conference

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., May 1, 2024 – AATCC works closely with organizations like the Southern Textile Research Conference (STRC) to support the textile community. This year, AATCC is a Bronze Sponsor and presenter at the STRC event taking place May 19-21 in Myrtle Beach, SC, USA. The theme for this year’s conference is Emerging Material Technologies and Processes, which aligns with AATCC’s mission to promote and empower an innovative, informed, and sustainable future.

Diana Wyman, Executive Vice President of AATCC, will present “Measuring UV Protection for Apparel Fabrics” on Tuesday, May 21 at 8 AM. Wyman has extensive experience in test method development for textiles, participating in the process as both staff and volunteer for AATCC as well as textile-related committees of ASTM, IEC, IPC, and ISO. Her expertise spans the textile field, holding degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Textiles, and Business Administration. Currently pursuing a PhD in Fiber and Polymer Science at NC State University, Wyman brings a wealth of knowledge and industry involvement to her presentation on UV protection measurement for apparel fabrics. The Southern Textile Research Conference is a renowned annual event that brings together researchers, professionals, and industry leaders from across the textile sector. Attendees can expect to engage in thought-provoking discussions, network with peers, and gain valuable insights into the emerging trends and innovative solutions that are shaping the future of textiles.
