AATCC Standard Detergent: A Fresh Spin
Washing fabrics is a key part of quality control testing in the textile industry. Choosing the right detergent impacts the testing results, and ultimately determines consumer satisfaction. This session will cover common questions about AATCC Standard Reference Detergents, including which to use depending on the application, proper storage, and new developments in the product. The presenter for the Digital Lab is Garry Atkinson, AATCC Technical Associate, and is moderated by Geri Lykins with Procter & Gamble.
Garry Atkinson
Garry Atkinson, AATCC Technical Associate is an expert in the proficiency testing program, and quality control products. In his role, Garry specializes in training professionals on how to conduct textile test methods, and in aiding members in test method development. Garry attended North Carolina State University, where he earned a BS in Industrial Design and a Master of Science in Textiles and plans to ultimately obtain his PhD in Textile Management.
Geri Lykins
Geri Lykins is a R&D Senior Scientist at Procter and Gamble, where she works the NA Fabric Care business and is an expert in Laundry Products Research. In her role, she specializes in consumer understanding and innovation on Tide PODs detergent leading end to end design and superiority strategy for the future. Geri attended University of Dayton, where she earned a BS in Biology.
