The Darsey Family Scholarship is a $4,000 scholarship available to students enrolled in a textile/fashion merchandising or textile/fashion design-related programs.
Eligibility
- Rising Junior or Senior or graduate-level college student
- any accredited US college or university
- Enrolled in a textile-related program
- Areas of study: textile/fashion merchandising and related areas or textile/fashion design and related areas
- Any citizenship
Selection Criteria
- Current GPA
- Financial need
- Work experience, including internships and extra-curricular activities related to textile design or merchandising.
- Career goals in the fields of textile design, merchandising or a related discipline. Explain why you chose your field and what you hope to accomplish. How will you change the world though your work?

Complete the AATCC Foundation undergraduate application to be considered for this and other scholarships. Application must include:
- Copy of college transcripts
- Resume or letter of work experience, including internships and extra-curricular activities
- Personal statement of 500 words or less, explain why you chose your field and what you hope to accomplish. How will you change the world though your work? Express your academic and professional aspirations (with particular emphasis on intended career following graduation) and your financial need and expectations.
Applications will close February 28, 2026. Applicants will be notified of the Selection Committee’s decision by early summer.
