AATCC Foundation

Established in 1997, AATCC Foundation, Inc. operates to further the charitable mission of the Association, promoting the science and knowledge of textile design, coloration, materials, processing, and testing through research and education. 

AATCC Foundation, Inc. seeks ways to develop and promote quality standards throughout the world.

All donations directly fund scholarship, fellowships, and research grants. Donation of any amount supports the future of the textile industry. There are many ways to contribute to the Foundation. Donors can contribute to the general AATCC Foundation fund or select a specific scholarship to support or endow!

Gifts of stocks or bonds, retirement assets, cash, or life insurance can be turned into contributions that benefit both the giver and the receiver long into the future. To discuss these or other types of charitable trusts, please contact the AATCC Foundation.

Mission

Established in 1997, AATCC Foundation, Inc. operates to further the charitable mission of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) by offering to:
  • Support continued education and provide educational assistance by funding scholarships and fellowships.
  • Advance the science and knowledge of textile design, coloration, materials, processing, and testing.
  • Support research and make findings publicly available
  • Develop and promote quality standards for the benefit of the public.
  • Perform charitable activities related to textile science and design.

Scholarship & Fellowships

Undergraduate and graduate students in any textile-related discipline may apply for more than a dozen separate scholarships and US$100,00 total funding with one simple online form. Students enter their school, education level, major, and other criteria once. The system automatically lists matching scholarships and asks for any required personal statements.

Student Research Grants

Up to US$4,000 per year in funding for undergraduate and graduate research on textile-related projects.

The AATCC Foundation awards more than US$150,000 annually for Scholarships, Fellowships, and Research Grants.

Undergraduate and graduate students in any textile-related discipline may apply to more than 15+ opportunities. Grant funding ranges from US$500 to US$4,000.

In addition to direct funding, Foundation scholars received free registration for the Annual Conference and one year of complimentary AATCC.

AATCC Foundation Inc. was founded in May 1997. The establishment of the AATCC Foundation was made possible by the generous donations by Charles E. Gavin III.
