Dr. Behnam Pourdeyhimi, the William A. Klopman Distinguished Professor of Materials in the College of Textiles and the Executive Founding Director of the Nonwovens Institute at North Carolina State University, visited SRRC and gave a presentation on the opportunities for cotton in nonwoven fabrics.

Dr. Michael Easson, AATCC GCS President, served as moderator and hosted Dr. Pourdeyhimi and his guests, Amy Minton and Dave Nelson, from the Nonwovens Institute. After a question and answer session, the visitors were treated to lunch and a tour of the nonwoven facilities at SRRC by Brian Condon, Doug Hinchliffe, and Mike Reynolds. Melissa Dunn served as AATCC GCS Secretary and Treasurer and was invaluable in coordinating this event.
