As we look at the changing workforce requirements over the next few decades, it is essential that we figure out how to develop ecosystems driven by collaboration. Through working together we can ensure that all stakeholders in an ecosystem are working together to provide necessary education, training, and development to ensure our future workers are adequately prepared to ensure innovation is possible.  This keynote will explore the key components of an innovation ecosystem and how by working collaborative we have the best chance of Innovating Today for the challenges of tomorrow.

Register Early and Save!

Registrations and remittance must be received by March 18 to take advantage of the reduced fees. After March 18, you must register on-site and increased fees will apply.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

AATCC will honor written cancellations received by March 18, 2019. A US$75 cancellation fee will be charged. No refunds will be given after March 18.

Conference Proceedings

Conference papers and/or PowerPoint presentations will be made available for download to attendees prior to the conference.

The 2019 conference will feature one educational track with sessions focusing on: Made in the USA; Environmental Challenges and Planning for the Future; Product Design and Supply Chain Challenges; Technology and Process Innovation; Fiber, Fabric, and Materials Innovations; and the Herman and Myrtle Goldstein Graduate Student Paper Competition.

Stay to the End to Win

As an added incentive for all attendees to remain for the entire program, we will have a drawing at the conclusion of the  educational track on Thursday, April 11, for an Apple Watch Series 3 GPS. Tickets will be provided to all in attendance and you must be present to win.

Keynote Presentation

The presentation will be given at 2:00 p.m. on April 9.

Herman & Myrtle Goldstein Graduate Student Paper Competition

The Herman and Myrtle Goldstein Graduate Student Paper Competition will be held Tuesday, April 9, from 4:45 – 6:00 pm. Papers are judged on originality, scientific value, and presentation. AATCC Interest Groups provide the judges whose balloting determines the order of finish. Results of the competition will be announced at the Awards Luncheon.

Welcoming Reception

Socialize with your colleagues and visit the tabletop exhibits while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and beverages during the 6:00 – 8:00 pm reception on April 9.

Full registration includes ONE ticket to the Welcoming Reception. Additional tickets may be ordered in advance at US$40 each.

Poster Session

Posters will be available for viewing April 9 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm and all day on the 10th. Presenters will be in attendance on April 10 from 5:45 – 6:45 pm to discuss their research and address questions.

Wednesday Luncheon

Meet new friends while having lunch with fellow conference attendees on Wednesday, April 10, at 11:45 a.m. This networking event will afford participants with the opportunity to converse with others from the industry while enjoying lunch together.

Full registration includes ONE ticket to the Wednesday Luncheon. Additional tickets may be ordered in advance at US$45 each.

Spouse/Guest Program

Join conference guests on April 10 for a day trip to Waco, Texas which will include a visit to Magnolia Market/Silos designed and owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines stars of HGTV’s ‘Fixer Upper.’ You will board a Waco Tour bus for a guided tour where you will learn about Waco’s rich history, the secrets of Cameron Park, and explore neighborhoods with homes renovated by Chip and Joanna.  Additional stops include JDH Iron Designs (Jimmy Don), Clint Harp’s Design Co., and Spice Village featuring more than 60 boutiques under one roof. The US$150 registration fee includes bus transportation to and from the Sheraton Downtown, on-site Waco tours, and lunch at Milo’s.  Limited availability – first come, first served. Registration Deadline: March 7, 2019.

Textile Bowl

Join in the fun as teams consisting of student members and industry professionals compete by answering questions from a wide range of textile and design topics.  Harrie Schoots of Ascend Performance Materials LLC will be the Master of Ceremonies of this event, which takes place on Wednesday, April 10, from 5:10 – 5:45 p.m.

Olney Medal Address

The Olney Medal Address will be presented on Thursday, April 11, from 8:15 – 8:55 am.

Awards Luncheon

The program will feature the presentation of the Olney Medal for outstanding achievement in textile chemistry, the Harold C. Chapin Award for service to AATCC, the Millson Award for invention, the TCR Service Award, the AATCC Future Leaders Awards, the J. W. Weaver Award for best paper published in AATCC Journal of Research, and the winners of the Herman and Myrtle Goldstein Graduate Student Paper Competition.

Full registration includes ONE ticket to the Awards Luncheon. Additional tickets may be ordered in advance at US$50 each.

Tabletop exhibits will feature color management software, systems, and solutions; auxiliaries, dyes, and chemicals; and testing equipment and services for the apparel and textile wet processing industry.

Exhibits will be open April 9 during the Welcoming Reception and from 7:30 – 8:45 am and 5:45 – 7:15 pm on April 10. A continental breakfast will be served in the exhibit area on April 10 and a reception will be held in the exhibit area that afternoon. Admittance to the exhibit area will require a conference badge.

Pre-Conference Event-Waco Tour
April 8, 7:45 am – 6:30 pm

Join colleagues for the Monday, April 8, day trip to Waco, Texas. This tour is designed for textile professionals and will include visits to Hole in the Roof (a t-shirt printing facility), Jesus Said Love and Lovely Enterprises (a Christian non-profit/for-profit business that provides assistance to those that have left the commercial sex industry including those that have been trafficked), and Magnolia Market/Silos (designed and owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines stars of HGTV’s ‘Fixer Upper’). The US$185 registration fee includes bus transportation to and from the Sheraton Downtown, on-site guided Waco bus tour of the city with stops along the way, and lunch at the Baylor Club in McLane Stadium.  Each participant will receive a special designed t-shirt from Hole in the Roof.

Limited availability – first come, first served.  Registration Deadline: February 28, 2019.

The pre-conference tour requires a separate registration fee.  You must be registered to attend the IC in order to participate.
