Delaware Valley Section Scholarship

The AATCC Delaware Valley Section consists of AATCC members from Delaware, Maryland, Southern New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The Delaware Valley Section established the AATCC Delaware Valley Scholarship and is partnering with AATCC Foundation to promote this scholarship.

All members of the Delaware Valley Section of AATCC, as well as spouses, children, and grandchildren, are eligible to apply for the AATCC Foundation Delaware Valley Section Scholarship, provided they are either accepted to attend, or are currently attending, a post-secondary, undergraduate education institution, regardless of their field of study.

Also, any student attending a post-secondary undergraduate program at a school in the Delaware Valley is eligible to apply, provided they are studying in a textile or related field of study*. Preference will be given to student members of AATCC, and to schools who have AATCC student chapters.

The AATCC Foundation Delaware Valley Section Scholarship

Each year, up to two scholarship recipients will be awarded a $500 stipend if they are attending or accepted to a four-year college or university. If they are attending or are accepted to a two-year college or technical school, the stipend will be $250. The scholarship can be used in any manner, without restrictions.

Scholarship recipients will only be eligible to receive this scholarship once, unless they are pursuing a qualified four-year degree in a textile- or technology-related* field of study.  Scholarship recipients are eligible to receive annual stipends of $500 for each of the four years of study, provided a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 is maintained. Scholarship recipients wishing to reapply for the scholarship must complete a new application and submit a current transcript to be considered for renewal of the scholarship.

Delaware Valley Scholarship Committee

The scholarship committee will meet to review the list of candidates and make the selections from qualified candidates.  Announcement of scholarship recipient(s) will be announced by AATCC Foundation and posted under the AATCC Delaware Valley Section webpage.

The scholarship program will be reviewed annually by the AATCC Delaware Valley Scholarship Committee to assess the financial status of the endowment fund, review selection process, and consider comments and suggestions from the section membership.

The Delaware Valley Scholarship Committee will consist of three senior members of the Delaware Valley Section, appointed by the sectional chair, and serve for a term not to exceed three years. A member can be reappointed to serve, as needed.
