“I was raised by a single parent. My mom fully supports my brother and me, which includes paying our way through college. My mom is a school teacher and has to take on additional jobs to have the ability to support us. I applied for this scholarship to relieve some of the financial burdens college brings. This scholarship is a tremendous blessing in my life, and I am so grateful to receive this money to put towards my education. Once I have started my career, I hope to create the same opportunity . . . for another student.”
(2017 C.E. Gavin III Family Scholarship recipient)
