The AATCC Foundation provides more than US$100,000 in scholarships and grants to students studying fields related to textile arts and sciences. Some of the highest value scholarships have deadlines as early as February 1.
Students can complete one simple application on the AATCC Foundation website to be considered for all available scholarships and fellowships. Twenty scholarships for one application! The deadline for many scholarships is March 31, but students should complete applications by February 1 for access to the most opportunities and the highest-value awards. Applications may require a personal statement or letter of recommendation, so plan ahead!
In addition to funds for their education, all Foundation scholars receive an invitation to AATCC’s annual Textile Discovery Summit and up to $500 in travel reimbursement. The Summit is a professional conference providing students with exposure to industry updates, new research, and networking opportunities. Kushbu Jivan, a 2021 recipient of the Varley scholarship said, “The AATCC Foundation Varley Family Scholarship will allow me to continue my education and pursuit of bio-material development while allowing me to become more involved in the industry.”
