Gabrielle Salvino:  Being awarded the AATCC Delaware Valley Section Scholarship makes me so proud to represent Thomas Jefferson University’s Fashion Merchandising program. Being a textiles student allows me to express myself, as well as be myself, in so many ways. I truly cherish and enjoy all the connections I have made in the industry thus far and cannot wait to continue to create more as an incoming sophomore. It is so exciting to see hard work pay off, especially since I have my dreams and goals set for me already within my experience at Jefferson and the Fashion Industry. I have learned so much about AATCC and its amazing Foundation, with so many opportunities and resources given to students just like me. I am so glad to have been given such a wonderful opportunity!

Carissa Haslam:
I am a rising senior at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA majoring in Communications Studies. I have a particular interest in studying the philosophy of communication and language, as well as rhetorical theory. On campus, I serve as the president of an interdenominational Christian fellowship organization, and I work for the university newspaper. In my free time I love to read, cook, bake, and care for my many numerous houseplants.  As I enter my senior year, I’m very grateful to be a recipient of the AATCC Foundation Delaware Valley Section Scholarship. I am thankful for this generous contribution to my education and am confident it will assist me in continuing to pursue my educational goals.
