AATCC Presents at TechTextil North America

AATCC is excited to attend TechTextil North America in Raleigh, NC, USA! This year, AATCC will participate in a panel discussion with Hohenstein discussing Testing and Standards: The Most Efficient Path to Textile Sustainability. This session will be at 12 PM ET on August 20.

Without scientific standards to back them up, sustainability is just a buzzword. Join us for insights on how testing and certification are the most direct way to develop and verify environmental and economic goals – and let your customers know you’re serious about sustainability.

Panel Participants:

Diana Wyman, Executive Vice President of AATCC, will represent AATCC in the panel. She has participated in the test method  development process as both staff and volunteer for AATCC as well as textile-related committees of ASTM, IEC, IPC, and ISO. Diana holds degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Textiles, and Business Administration; she is currently pursuing a PhD in Fiber and Polymer Science at NC State University.

 

 

Ben Mead serves as the Managing Director of Hohenstein Institute America. In this role, he is the company’s liaison with industry collaborations, government agencies and trade associations, while leading a team spread over North and Latin America. He also oversees OEKO-TEX® responsibilities for the U.S. Ben holds degrees in Chemistry and Textile Chemistry from North Carolina State University and a certificate in Green Chemistry from the University of Washington.
