Join AATCC on July 12, 2024, at 10:00AM (ET) as Professors Chuanlan Liu and Sibei Xia from Louisiana State University take a deep look at the increasingly significant role of sustainability and technology in the textile and apparel industry. The textile and apparel industry can both exacerbate and alleviate sustainability concerns. Industries like fashion frequently have significant environmental impacts due to resource-intensive manufacturing, consumption, and waste generation. Nevertheless, an increasing recognition of the need for ecological practices in these fields motivates innovative experts to embrace environmentally friendly materials, energy-efficient technology, and ethical production techniques, thereby reducing their environmental footprint. This digital lab seeks to disseminate and discuss novel concepts and emerging technology related to the fast-developing sector, including business approaches and communication technologies, to investigate inventive solutions within the textile and apparel industry.
