• Tear and Burst Strength of Durable Press Shirts by Mary Jean Wylie and Nancy C. Erickson (Textile Chemist & Colorist, November 1973). Results are reported on a study to determine the influences of environmental factors on the strength of "worn and laundered" and "laundered only" men s shirts made of all cotton and of a 65/35 polyester/cotton blend.

• Toxicity Assessment of Raw and Ozonated Textile Biocides by Idil Arslan-Alaton, Oya S. Okay, Gulen Eremektar, and Fatos Germirli-Babuna (AATCC Review, May 2006). The acute toxicity of two biocides frequently used in textile finishing was studied and the influence of ozonation on several environmental sum parameters was assessed.
• What are the Effects of Storage and Laundering on Durable Press Finishes? By Pamela J. Jaco and James E. Hendrix (Textile Chemist & Colorist, September 1982). The amount of formaldehyde released by durable press cotton and cotton blend fabrics is known to be relatively low. What is not known is how the amount of formaldehyde available for release changes as the fabrics are used by consumers.
