DRYCLEANING
• Colorfastness of Fabrics Cleaned in Liquid Carbon Dioxide by Manfred Wentz, Keith R. Beck, V. Andrews Monfalcone III, and Rachel D. Slivensky (AATCC Review, May 2001). The colorfastness of representative dyed fabrics, except triacetate, in liquid carbon dioxide cleaning is acceptable and comparable to conventional drycleaning.
• Dynamics of Change in Professional Garment Cleaning by Susan H. Keesee and Manfred Wentz (Textile Chemist and Colorist & American Dyestuff Reporter, December 1999). The status of change in professional garment care is reviewed.
• Solvent and Ultrasonic Alternatives to Perchloroethylene Drycleaning of Textiles by Robert E. McCall, Farham M. A. Patel, Gary N. Mock, and Perry L. Grady (Textile Chemist & Colorist, November 1998). Ultrasound was used alone, combined with solvents, and with wetcleaning techniques to evaluate it as an alternative professional cleaning method.
