Senior: The most popular member category. Senior members have at least five years of experience in textiles, fibers, materials, or related industries. A relevant bachelor’s degree is considered equivalent to three years of experience. An advanced degree or service in the US Armed Forces is counted as one additional year of experience. Only Senior members can vote on certain issues, or hold some positions within the Association.

Associate: Individuals interested in the goals and activities of AATCC, but not qualified for Senior membership may join as Associate members. Except for voting rights, Associate members are entitled to all the same benefits and privileges as Senior members. Once a member has accrued five years of experience he or she can apply for a transfer to Senior member status.

Student: A reduced-rate membership for individuals studying textiles, fibers, materials, design, merchandising, or a related subject. Students get all the benefits of Associate membership, with additional discounts on attendance at selected conferences and symposia, and access to grants and scholarships.

Corporate: Organizations can join AATCC to extend membership benefits to all their employees. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels offer options for any size organization.

Discounted Membership Options
Developing Nations: Those living in selected developing nations may choose a reduced rate membership due to their classification as low-income and lower-middle-income economies by the World Bank Organization. Applies to Senior, Associate, and Student classifications. Developing Nations members do not receive a print copy of AATCC Review.

Life: One payment of 15 times the regular annual dues rate makes you an AATCC member for life. Associate or Senior classification. Associate Life members may transfer to Senior Life status upon reaching five years of experience in the industry.

Textile Institute Members: Current members of the Textile Institute get 30% off Senior, Associate, or Student single-year AATCC membership. Current AATCC members can also join the Textile Institute at a 30% discount.

Honorary Classifications
You may not apply for these classifications. You will be invited by Membership Services when you qualify. If you believe you qualify, but have not yet been invited, please contact Membership Services.
Emeritus: Retired individuals with 30 consecutive years of membership are invited to become Emeritus members. Dues are waived.
Retired: Individuals who have retired from full-time employment and are either 65 years old or an AATCC member for 20 consecutive years qualify for Retired membership at half the regular annual dues rate.
