Materials Interest Group News

Innovations Conference Recap

Industry and academia came together to discuss and share research and technologies at AATCC’s Innovations in Functional Materials, Sports & Defense Technologies, & Composites Symposium which was held October 26 -27 at the Hyatt in Greenville, SC.  The symposium, a product of AATCC’s Materials Interest Group, and chaired by Philip J. Brown of Clemson University, attracted 125 attendees.  The National Textile Center, a research consortium of eight universities, held its Forum in conjunction with the symposium.  The Forum featured 43 poster presentations and six students competing in the Joe Cunning Graduate Student Competition.
