Georgia’s first city, Savannah, is the site for AATCC’s 2015 International Conference. The Hilton DeSoto is the conference venue for this event which will be held March 24-26. The Hilton DeSoto is located in the historic district and overlooks Madison Square and historic mansions.
A tutorial session will be held Tuesday, March 24, from 2:00-5:15 p.m. and will feature a Technical Textiles 101 seminar taught by Dr. Seshadri Ramkumar, Nonwovens & Advanced Materials Laboratory, Texas Tech University. A discounted tutorial registration fee is available to individuals attending the conference.
The education portion of the conference will feature three tracks reflecting the Association’s Interest Groups: Concept 2 Consumer® (C2C), Chemical Applications, and Materials. Sessions in the C2C track will focus on color & lighting, concept innovation, material development, and consumer product interests. The Chemical Applications track will address sustainability in textiles, advances in wet processing and specialty materials and finishing, and also include the Herman and Myrtle Goldstein Student Paper Competition. Presentations in the Materials track will include protective textiles, sustainable materials, medical textiles, and innovative technologies.
