The scope of SC2 is to develop evaluation procedures for laundering, dry cleaning and finishing to which textile fabrics or manufactured items can be subjected, in conjunction with other tests applied to these products, in order to assess the effect of these laundering, dry cleaning and finishing procedures. SC 2 will be responsible for the development of test methods for the determination of dimensional stability to and evaluation of appearance after laundering, dry cleaning and finishing procedures; and assessing the resistance of textiles to absorption and/or penetration by water.
