AATCC Committee RA88, Home Laundering Technology, is aware
that there may be slight variations between Whirlpool and Kenmore washer models
available in the US and the world. Due to this issue, the AATCC Monograph for
the Standardization of Home Laundry Test Conditions was revised for the 2006
edition of the AATCC Technical Manual to include a note stating that the conditions
listed are for US models and that if the conditions are different, report the
variation. This was initiated due to the difference in wash time, but relates
to the agitation speed as well.
The model numbers that Whirlpool sends AATCC for international markets correlate
on most of the conditions, and that is why we include those model numbers on
the list of AATCC Recommended Washers and Dryers.
